Benna Strober, Psy.D. is a NYS licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist.
I obtained my master’s and doctorate in School/Clinical Psychology from Pace University in 1995. I worked in private schools in NYC prior to working as a school psychologist in the alternative high school for White Plains School District in White Plains, NY. After starting my own family, I left the school setting and opened my private practice to help children, teens and their families in a different modality to broaden the population I could serve and support.
In my private practice I offer individual therapy for children, adolescents and young adults, as well as their parents with a focus on helping create healthier coping strategies and a stronger self-esteem. I strive to help every person that walks into my office with whatever issues they bring that are negatively affecting their lives. Some struggle with anxiety, depression or difficulty with family and peer relationships. Some simply need guidance in navigating their day to day life. Whatever the problems are, I am an interactive participant with you in creating solutions and having a brighter outlook on your life. I am also very involved in the court system as it relates to divorce and its effects on children. I am a custody evaluator, therapist for children whose family is going through a divorce and a supervisor of therapeutic visitation.
